Exchange Visitor Program Waivers (J-1)
J-1 visas promote cultural and educational exchange, covering scholars, interns, trainees, and au pairs. Some J-1 holders must return to their home country for two years unless they obtain a waiver.

Waiver Grounds:
1. Hardship: To U.S. citizen or permanent resident family members if the applicant returns home.
2. Persecution: Risk of persecution based on race, religion, or political beliefs.
3. Government Request: A U.S. government agency requests the applicant’s presence for national interest reasons.
How We Can Help:
* Waiver Applications: Prepare detailed legal arguments and evidence for hardship or persecution claims.
* Home Residency Negotiations: Assist with waiver recommendations and consular processes.
